Soccer

Chelsea left it late to beat Leicester 4-2 in an entertaining FA Cup quarter-final.

It was two goals apiece and heading into extra time before the Blues claimed two stoppage time goals, sending the eight-time winners through to the semis.

In the last quarter-final of the weekend, a dramatic finish at Old Trafford saw Manchester United take a 4-3 win over Liverpool.

Amad Diallo sealed a scarcely-believable extra-time triumph for the home side, seeing them into the semi-finals

There was just one fixture in the Premier League on Sunday, with Aston Villa paying a visit to West Ham.

The Hammers led at half-time thanks to a goal from Michail Antonio just before the 30-minute mark, but Nicolo Zaniolo responded in the 79th minute to level, ending it 1-1.

GAA

Roscommon's survival in Division 1 of the Allianz National Football League is now out of their hands after they were beaten 1-17 to 1-11 by Kerry.

The result leaves them staring down the barrel relegation, needing not only to beat Derry next weekend, but also hoping that Galway lose to Kerry by a greater margin.

Elsewhere, Derry claimed a five-point win over Mayo, ending 3-15 to 2-13.

Armagh have taken a place in the Lidl Ladies Football Division 1 final by the smallest of margins, beating Mayo 2-9 to 2-8.

Elsewhere, Kerry took a big win over Meath, with the game ending 1-15 to 0-5.

Meanwhile, Galway and Waterford's fixture at Pearse Stadium was postponed.

Golf

Back to back bogeys have hampered Rory McIlroy's charge for a top 10 finish at the Players Championship.

He sits on 1-over through 9, leaving him 8-under all round and in a tie for 26th.

Shane Lowry is a shot ahead of his Ryder Cup teammate after he shot a 6-under 66, while Seamus Power ended the week level par after a round of 69.

American Xander Schauffele and Wyndham Clark share the lead on 17-under.
