Ireland have suffered a 2-1 loss at the Aviva against the Netherlands in ther Euro qualifier.
Stephen Kenny's men took an early lead after Adam Idah struck from the penalty spot, but the visitors replied with a penalty of their own from Cody Gakpo minutes later. After the break, Wout Weghorst gave the Netherlands the lead, and ultimately the win.
Also in Group B, Greece took a 5-0 win over Gibraltar.
In the earlier game, Northern Ireland lost to Kazakhstan 1-0.
Rugby World Cup
The action continues at the World Cup today.
In Group A, Japan beat Chile 42-12 in the first game of the day.
In a clash of interest to Ireland, South Africa beat Scotland 18-3 in their Pool B fixture.
In the final game of the day, Wales beat Fiji 32-26 despite a blistering final 10 minutes from the Fijians.
Golf
Vincent Norrman is the Irish Open champion for 2023.
The Swedish golfer finished on 14-under-par to win by a shot from Hurly Long at the K Club in Kildare.
Shane Lowry ended the week in a tie for third on 12-under, with Rory McIlroy finishing on nine-under-par.
Mark Power ended on seven-under-par on his professional debut.

The Irish rowing team have won even more medals at the World Rowing Championships in Belgrade this afternoon.
Paris bound Darie Lynch and Phil Doyle have picked up a bronze after coming third in the Men's Double Sculls A final.
Meanwhile, Zoe Hyde and Alison Bergin just missed out on the podium as they finished fourth in the Women's Double Sculls A final.
