Man (40s) dies after being struck by van in Co Sligo

A man, aged in his 40s, has died after being struck by a van in Co Sligo, he was the owner of the vehicle.
The incident occurred near Luke’s Bridge, Gortnaleck, Grange, Co Sligo, on Saturday at approximately 3.55pm. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has since been moved to the local mortuary where a postmortem examination will take place in due course, gardaí said. The coroner has been notified.
The road was closed for a technical examination by Garda forensic collision investigators which has since been completed. The road has reopened.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to come forward.
Road users who were travelling in the vicinity of Luke’s Bridge, Gortnaleck, Grange, Co Sligo between 3.30pm and 4pm on Saturday and who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make it available to investigating gardaí.
