Gardaí at scene of incident in Dundalk

Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious incident in Dundalk, Co Louth.

It is understood that the Army's bomb squad is at the scene of a suspicious device.

It was called to the Marian Park area of Dundalk earlier on Friday.

Road closures are in effect, with local diversions in place

Gardaí have said that as this is an ongoing incident, there is no further information at this time.
