Man's body recovered from Royal Canal in Dublin

The body of a man has been recovered from the Royal Canal on Saturday morning in Dublin.

Gardaí received reports of the body of a man near the Cross Guns Bridge, Phibsborough Road, shortly before 9.00 am.

The man's body has since been recovered from the water.

The Coroner has been notified, and the deceased has been taken to the local mortuary where a post-mortem examination will be conducted.

The outcome of the post-mortem will determine the course of the Garda investigation
