Man (45) dies after crash in Co Tyrone

A man has been killed in a road traffic incident in Co Tyrone.

Police received a report of a collision between a car and a lorry on the Crossowen Road in Clogher at around 12.40pm on Friday.

The driver of the car, 45-year-old Damien Paul Bintley from Holywood, died from his injuries.

A PSNI spokesperson said officers attended the scene of the collision alongside Northern Ireland Ambulance Service colleagues, and medical treatment was provided at the scene to a number of people.

“The man, aged in his 40s, sadly died from his injuries a short time later,” they said.

“We would like to hear from witnesses or anyone who may have captured dash-cam or other footage which could assist with our ongoing inquiries.”
