A man in his late teens has died following an assault at a business premises in Navan, Co Meath last month.

Gardaí said the incident happened at Watergate Street on Sunday, June 21st at around 1.15am.

He suffered serious injuries and was brought to Drogheda Hospital and then Beaumont Hospital, and died on Wednesday.

A postmortem has been completed, and the results are not being released for operational reasons, a garda statement said.

As part of the investigation into the assault, a man in his 30s was arrested and appeared before Navan District Court on the 28th of June, where he was charged in connection with the serious assault.
