A female Garda has been injured after a patrol car was rammed in Co Cork.

Gardaí were responding to reports of a stolen vehicle on an industrial estate in the Glanmire area at about 2.20pm on Monday.

When they arrived, a Gardaí patrol vehicle was rammed by the stolen car, injuring one officer.

She was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment.

The passengers of the stolen car fled the scene on foot.

In subsequent searches, two men were arrested and are being held at a Garda station.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses.
