A man in his 50s has died following a farming incident in Ferrybank, Co Waterford.

Emergency services and Gardaí attended the scene at Ballyrobin as a result of the incident involving farm machinery on Sunday afternoon at a premises in the area.

The man sustained fatal injuries in the farm yard.

His body was removed to University Hospital Waterford where a postmortem will be carried out.

In a statement, gardaí said that they attended the scene of a “medical incident” at a premises in Ballyrobin, Ferrybank, Co Waterford on Sunday.
