A man in his 30s was arrested after approximately 75kg of suspected herbal cannabis, with an estimated value of €1.5 million, was seized in north Dublin.

The man was detained in a garda station in Dublin and has since been charged in connection with the seizure.

It follows the arrests of two other men in connection with cannabis seizures in Co Dublin and Limerick.

One man, aged in his 30s, was arrested after approximately 20kg of suspected herbal cannabis, with an estimated value of €400,000, was seized in west Dublin on Friday.

In a follow up search by An Garda Síochána, a further 20kg of suspected herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €400,000 was seized.

Separately, approximately 22.5kg of suspected herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €450,000 was seized in Co Limerick.

A man aged in his 30s was arrested in connection with that seizure as well.

The arrests came about as a result of joint operations conducted by the Revenue Customs Service and An Garda Síochána.
