Four charged over assault of man (20s) in Co Mayo last year
Four men have been charged in connection with the assault of a man in Castlebar, Co Mayo, last August.
The incident happened in the early hours of August 23rd, when gardaí found a man unconscious after an alleged assault outside a licensed premises on Tucker Street.
The man in his 20s was removed from the scene and taken to Mayo University Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
Four men, three in their 20s and one in his late teens, were arrested and have now been charged.
They are expected to appear before Castlebar District Court on Friday morning.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
