Man and woman charged over 4kg cocaine seizure in Tipperary

A man and woman in their 20s arrested in connection with the seizure of four kilograms of suspected cocaine in the Nenagh, Co Tipperary area, have been charged.

The drugs were seized by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and the Tipperary Divisional Drugs Unit and have an estimated value of €280,000.

The man and woman were arrested and detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007 in a Garda Station in the Clare-Tipperary division.

They are due to appear before Nenagh District Court on Thursday morning.

The seized drugs are to be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
