A man in his 20s has died in a crash in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford.

The incident, involving a car, occurred at around 11.30am on the R702 near Curraghgraigue on Monday.

The male driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body has been brought to the mortuary at University Hospital Waterford and the coroner has been notified.

The road was closed for technical examination, but has since reopened.

Gardaí have appealed for anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.

Road users who have camera footage, including dash cam footage, and were travelling on the R702 between 10.30am and 11.30am on Monday, May 18th, have been asked to make their footage available to investigating gardaí.
