A man has been seriously injured after an assault in Blanchardstown in Dublin.

He was found unconscious on Mill Road shortly after 4:20pm on Sunday.

The man in his 30s is being treated for his injuries in Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, where he remains in a critical condition.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this attack to come forward.
