A total of 422 admitted patients are on hospital trolleys on Friday.

University Hospital Limerick is the most overcrowded, with 78 people waiting for beds.

That is followed by St Vincent's University Hospital with 39.

Of the total number of people on trolleys, 283 are in emergency departments, while 139 are in wards elsewhere.
