Gardaí have identified and interviewed the driver involved in a hit-and-run in Ballymun, Co Dublin, in April.

It happened on Santry Avenue on April 6th, when a motorcyclist was struck by a vehicle.

The motorcyclist, a man in his late teens, was taken by ambulance to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, where he was treated for serious injuries.

Gardaí said on Thursday the driver has been identified and interviewed, and the vehicle recovered.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
