A man has been arrested after €643,000 of drugs were seized by gardaí in Annacotty, Co. Limerick on Wednesday.

Following the search of a house, €470,000 of cannabis, cocaine to the estimated street value of €140,000 and prescription tablets valued at over €33,000 were recovered.

Gardaí also seized a quantity of cash and other drug paraphernalia.

A man in his 30s has been arrested and conveyed to a Garda Station in Co. Limerick.

He is currently being detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

All drugs seized will be forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis.
