Man and teenager arrested following firearms incident in Co Dublin

A man and a teenage boy have been arrested following a firearms incident in Ballymun, Co Dublin on Tuesday.

Gardaí responded to the incident at 3 pm.

A man in his 20s and a juvenile in his teens were detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 in a Garda Station in the Dublin region.

The teenager has since been released from custody. A file will be prepared for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The man remains in custody.

There were no reports of injuries in relation to this incident.
