Driver has car seized after doing doughnuts 'right in front' of Kildare garda

A driver has had their car seized with a summons on the way after attempting to do doughnuts "right in front" of a fully uniformed garda, Kildare gardaí have said.

An Garda Síochána shared the story in a Facebook post, saying that some people watch action movies, while others "try to star in them".

The Kildare garda branch said the driver decided a local car park was the "perfect stage" to practise their "Fast & Furious: Naas Drift audition" in front of a uniformed garda.

Gardaí said the driver was only a learner permit holder and had no accompanying driver. They also had no valid insurance.

The vehicle was seized under Section 41 of the Road Traffic Act.
