Gardaí renew appeal after teenager dies following fall from moving vehicle in Co Cork

A teenage boy has died from his injuries after he fell from a moving vehicle in Co Cork.

The incident occurred at Little Island on Friday, April 17th at 11.50 pm.

The male, aged in his late teens, was taken from the scene to Cork University Hospital. He has since been declared deceased.

Forensic Collision investigators attended the scene and conducted an examination.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage, and who were travelling in the area between 11:00 pm and midnight on Friday, 17th April 2026, are asked to make it available to investigating gardaí.
