A total of 524 admitted patients are on hospital trolleys on Monday.

339 of those are in emergency departments while 185 are in wards elsewhere, according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO).

University Hospital Limerick accounts for the largest number of people waiting for beds, with 98, followed by University Hospital Galway with 64.
