61-year-old killed in motorbike collision in Co Tyrone

A 61-year-old man has died after a single-vehicle collision involving a motorbike in Omagh, Co Tyrone.

Patrick Deery, from Dungannon, was killed in the incident on the Clanabogan Road shortly before 11am.

A PSNI Detective Inspector Dave Stewart from the Collision Investigation Unit said: “Officers attended the scene along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. However, Patrick was pronounced deceased at the scene.

“An investigation to establish the circumstances is now underway, and the Collision Investigation Unit is appealing to anyone who may have any information which could assist, or who was travelling in the area at the time and captured any dash-cam or mobile phone footage, to contact them on 101.”

The Clanabogan Road has re-opened.
