Penneys 'German rival' is coming to Jervis.

New Yorker is preparing to open its first ever Irish store in the shopping centre later this year, according to Newstalk.

The brand has over 1,300 stores globally and specialises in "accessible on-trend fashion".

Senior Director at Pradera, which owns the centre, Maeve Foley, told Newstalk that it is similar to Penneys and will be a good addition to the area.

"Sort of similar price point, and it focuses on being accessible but yet still delivering quite on trend kind of fashionable mix of products, like we said, I think that anything that will draw people down to the area, and they can cross-shop between the two brands is positive.

"So we think that overall it’ll be good for the existing area, and it’ll be fantastic for Jervis," Foley said.
