A man arrested and questioned by Gardaí in connection with an alleged assault is due before the courts later on Wednesday morning.

A man in his 40s is facing charges in connection with the death of a farmer in Co Waterford.

John Cashman, who was aged in his 70's, was found with serious injuries outside a house at Cappagh near Dungarvan on Monday evening, and pronounced dead at the scene.

A man arrested and questioned by Gardaí in connection with an alleged assault is due before the courts later on Wednesday morning.
