Two people arrested as over €500k of drugs seized in Co Offaly

A man and a woman have been arrested after €545,400 of cannabis, cocaine, and ecstasy were seized in Tullamore, Co Offaly, on Tuesday.

During a search under a warrant, gardaí seized 7.5kg of cocaine (with a value of approximately €525,000); 1kg of cannabis (€20,000) and ecstasy (€400).

A man and a woman in their 40s were arrested and are currently held in Garda stations in Co Offaly.

The seized drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
