Evening traffic update: Commuters facing challenges getting home

Commuters are facing further disruption getting home from work on Wednesday evening as the fuel protests continue.

O’Connell Street in Dublin and fuel depots have been blocked by convoys of tractors and trucks in protests over the rising cost of fuel.

Dublin Bus have said several of their services and routes have been disrupted, with buses to the City Centre inbound and outbound North and South only operating from Parnell Square.

Services westbound will operate to and from Heuston Station only.

The following services have also been cancelled.

P29 - 17:00,17:20 and 17:40 services

51D - 17:15 service

69X - 17:45 service

X1 - 16:50, 17:30, 17:50 and 18:30 services

X2 - 15:30, 16:15 and 17:10 services

41X - 17:00, 17:15 and 17:30 services

X27 - 16:12, 17:11, 17:30, 17:50 services

33X - 16:15, 16:30, 17:00, 17:30 and 18:00 services

33D - 17:45 service

X31 - 16:30, 17:00, 17:30 services

X25 - 16: 14,16:39, 16:50, 17:07, 17:15 and 17:22 services

X32 - 16:45, 17:15 services

X28 - 16:50, 17:30 services

X30 - 16:50, 17:25 services

39X - 16:55, 17:25 services.

Wexford Bus will not be stopping in the city centre, with passengers asked to make their way to UCD.

Citylink have said O’Connell Street and the surrounding area are heavily congested, and all services to and from Dublin are affected.

All services will set down and pick up at Heuston Station only, with passengers advised to use the Luas for onward travel within the city.

All Swords Express services are suspended due to access issues relating to the protest.

Luas Green Line services are still not operating between St. Stephen's Green and Dominick.

Some Bus Éireann services may experience delays and disruption around the country.
