Woman (40s) dies after being hit by a lorry in Co Donegal

A pedestrian has died from her injuries in hospital after she was hit by a lorry in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, on Friday.
The incident happened at Station Roundabout, Port Road, shortly after 3pm.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 40s, was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
This woman passed away on Sunday.
Gardaí continue to appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage and were travelling in the area between 2.15 pm and 3.15 pm on Friday, 3rd April 2026, are asked to make this available to investigating gardaí.
