Woman rescued from house in Cop Down following petrol bomb attack

A woman has been rescued from a house in Saintfield, Co Down, set alight by a petrol bomb attack.
Police said a window was smashed at the house in the Manse Road area before the petrol bomb was thrown inside in the early hours of Wednesday.
An appeal for information has been made about the incident, which is being treated as arson with intent to endanger life.

“At approximately 1.15am, it was reported that a window had been smashed and a petrol bomb had been throw into the property, causing it to catch fire,” a police spokesperson said.
“Officers along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended and a female resident was rescued from house.
“This is being treated as arson with intent to endanger life and I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anyone suspicious in the area or to anyone with CCTV, doorbell or other footage that could assist with inquiries to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 65 01/04/26.”
