Two bodies have been found in the search for two people who fell into the sea in Co Clare.

It is understood both were fishing off the rocks when they fell into the water at Blue Pool in Pulleen Bay outside Doonbeg at around 2pm this afternoon.

A major search operation was launched, including the Coast Guard Helicopter R115.

The bodies of two people were discovered at around 4 pm on Tuesday afternoon.

The Coast Guard is extending its sympathies to the families of those who died.
