Police given more time to question man over Portadown murder

Detectives investigating a murder in Portadown have been given more time to question a man.

Police received a report of an altercation at a property in the Ranfurley Road area shortly after 11pm on Thursday.

Rolandas Kvederis, 49, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men had been arrested on suspicion of murder.

The PSNI said detectives have now been granted additional time by a court to question a man aged in his 50s.

A second man, aged in his 50s, has been released unconditionally.
