A woman in her 50s has been arrested by detectives investigating the discovery of a man's body in Dublin.

He was found unresponsive at a home in the Cookstown area of Tallaght shortly after 1pm yesterday afternoon.

A postmortem examination of the deceased man has concluded, but the results are not being released for operational reasons.

The woman arrested in connection with the investigation is currently being detained at a Garda station in the Dublin area.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses - and dashcam recordings from anyone travelling near the junction of Second Avenue and Cookstown Way, between 10pm on Thursday and 1.30pm yesterday.
