A man in his 40s has been arrested in relation to a fatal collision that killed a man in Co Dublin in January last year.

The man is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda Station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region.

The crash, which killed a man in his 60s, took place on the R129 near Blake’s Cross on 31st January 2025.

A woman, who was in another vehicle, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigations are ongoing.
