Man (20s) arrested in connection with assault of man in Co Kildare

A man has been arrested in connection with the serious assault of a man in Naas, Co Kildare, on Sunday.

The man in his 30s, who was injured during this incident, remains in Beaumont Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The man, aged in his 20s, is currently detained at a Garda Station in Co. Kildare under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Gardaí are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them.

Any persons who were in the vicinity of North Main Street, Naas, Co. Kildare, between 02:20 and 3:00 am on Sunday and who may have video footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
