Over €150,000 worth of cannabis has been found in a property in Cavan.

It follows the seizure of €125,000 worth of cannabis at a different property yesterday, bringing the total value to €281,000.

A man, aged in his 30s, who was arrested following the first seizure remains in a Garda station in the North West.

The drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.

Investigations are ongoing, gardaí said.
