Man (20s) arrested after alleged assault in Co Waterford
A man in his 20s was arrested in connection with an alleged assault in Waterford on Wednesday evening.
The incident happened on O'Connell Street in the city at around 5 pm.
Gardaí attended the scene and arrested one person, who was detained at a Garda station in the Southern Region.
He has since been released without charge, pending a file to the DPP.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
