A man in his 60s has died after he was struck by a truck in Co Tipperary.

Emergency services attended the scene of the incident on the L8109 road at Ardloman on Friday afternoon.

Gardaí said the alarm was raised after the pedestrian was struck by a lorry at approximately 2:35pm.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and no other injuries were reported.

The scene has been technically examined, and the Health and Safety Authority and the Coroner have been notified.

Gardaí said investigations are ongoing.
