Man (30s) injured following assault in Co Dublin

A man has been hospitalised following an assault at Portobello Road in Co Dublin on Wednesday.

The incident occurred at approximately 6.10 pm.

A man in his 30s was conveyed to St James’s Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, not believed to be life-threatening at this time.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to contact them.

Anyone who was in the area of Portobello Road between 5.30 pm and 6.30 pm, and who may have any information about the incident, is asked to contact investigating gardaí.

Anyone with camera footage (including mobile phone and dash-cam footage) is asked to make it available.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
