A woman, a man and a boy have been hospitalised following a house fire in Rochestown, in Cork city.

The incident happened at approximately 12.30 am.

Gardaí say a woman in her 40s, a man in his 20s and a male youth were conveyed to Cork University Hospital for assessment.

The scene is currently being preserved for technical examination.

Gardaí say enquiries are ongoing.
