596 patients are waiting for beds on Thursday, according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) Trolley Watch.

375 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 221 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

University Hospital Limerick has the highest number of people waiting for beds at 83 patients. 35 people are waiting in the emergency department, while 48 are on wards elsewhere in the hospital.

At University Hospital Galway, 77 people are waiting for beds, with 43 waiting in the emergency department and 34 waiting elsewhere in the hospital.

Sligo University Hospital has 49 patients waiting, with 29 people in the emergency department and 20 elsewhere.

St Vincent's University Hospital has 48 people waiting, with 37 in the emergency department and 11 elsewhere.
