A man in his 90s has died in a workplace accident in Co Limerick.

It happened near Askeaton at around 6pm on Monday, Newstalk have reported.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body was removed to University Hospital Limerick for a post-mortem examination.

The Health and Safety Authority and gardaí are investigating the matter.
