Two men were arrested on Thursday after five premises in Dublin and Carlow were searched as part of an operation targeting burglaries.

The investigation looked into more than 40 incidents, including thefts, deception and unauthorised takings of vehicles, in Dublin and across the country last year.

The searches were conducted by gardaí attached to the DMR South Central Crime Task Force.
