An elderly man has died following a road crash in Co Armagh.

The man, who was aged in his 90s, had been driving a car which was involved in a collision in the Hamiltonsbawn Road area on Thursday evening.

Police said they received a report of the incident shortly after 7.30 pm.

“Our officers attended, supported by colleagues from partner emergency services,” they said.

“The driver of the car, a man aged in his 90s, was taken tothe  hospital, but sadly died from his injuries.

“Collision Investigation Unit detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this collision. We are particularly keen to hear from persons who witnessed the incident or hold digital footage which may assist with inquiries.

“This includes dashcam, mobile, CCTV or other material. Contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1339 of 15/01/26.”
