A funeral Mass for a husband, wife and their unborn baby girl who died in a traffic collision is to be held next week.

The Requiem Mass for Cathrene Kith Quinones Singco, Ralph Anthony Singco and their unborn baby Kate will be held next Wednesday.

The couple were both in their 30s.

Ms Singco and her unborn baby lost their lives in a two-car collision near Crumlin in Co Antrim last Sunday. Ms Singco, who was seven months pregnant, while Mr Singco succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.

The couple had just celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary.

Six other people sustained minor injuries in the collision, which occurred at around 2pm on the Moira Road.

The couple will lie in repose at O’Kanes Funeral Directors on Donegall Street, Belfast, from tomorrow (Saturday) until Monday.

The family will then be brought to St Vincent De Paul Church, Ligoniel on Tuesday for prayers at 5.30pm and an overnight vigil.

A Requiem Mass will be held on Wednesday at midday. A GoFundme campaign has raised almost £70,000 (€81,000) to help with the repatriation costs of bringing their bodies back to the Philippines.

Their families have expressed their gratitude for the public’s generosity.

In a statement on the fundraising site they said that with “deeply grateful hearts, we want to thank each and every person…whether through donations, sharing the page, messages of comfort, or prayers.

“Your kindness, generosity, and compassion during this unimaginable time have meant more to the Singco and Quinones families than words can fully express.”

The families have asked that no further donations be made as they have reached their financial target to cover costs.

“At this time, the greatest request is for your continued prayers for strength, peace, and healing for all who are grieving this profound loss. Please keep Cathrene, Ralph, their baby, and both families in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate the days ahead and begin the long journey toward healing,” the families added.

“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us, for honoring the lives of Kith and Ralph, and for showing what true community and compassion look like in times of tragedy. Your support will never be forgotten.”

Police said investigations into the circumstances surrounding the collision remain ongoing and have renewed their appeal for information from the public.

Detective Inspector Stewart, from the Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We are investigating what happened and require the public’s assistance with our enquiries.”

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have any dash-cam footage of the road at the time which could assist with their investigation, is asked to contact them in the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 735 11/01/26.
