A man in his 80s has been seriously injured in a collision in Co Donegal.

The pedestrian was knocked down by a car at Lower Main Street, Letterkenny at around 1pm on Thursday afternoon.

He has been brought to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

No one else was injured, and the road remains closed with local diversions in place.
