A female child is in a serious but stable condition after she was hit by a car in Dublin on Wednesday.

The collision occurred on the Darndale Roundabout on the Priorswood Road, Dublin 17, at approximately 5:00pm.

It involved a pedestrian and a car.

The child pedestrian was brought to Children’s Health Ireland at Temple Street and no other injuries were reported.

A technical examination was conducted by the Divisional Scenes of Crime Unit.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.

Any road users, who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 4:30pm and 5:15pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
