Man (30s) dies after serious assault in Co Roscommon as man (40s) is charged

A man in his 30s who was the victim of a serious assault on New Year's Day has died.
The incident happened Barrack Street in Ballaghadereen, Co Roscommon in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The man in his 40s, who was arrested in connection with the investigation on Friday, has now been charged.
He is due to appear before Roscommon District Court on Sunday morning at 10am.
Investigations ongoing.
