New Year’s Festival Dublin continues on Wednesday with a variety of free, family-friendly events across the city.

A street procession, starting at Cook Street at 4.30pm, will wend its way through the streets of Dublin on New Year's Eve, with music, street performers, and marching bands. The procession will finish at Dublin Castle and the full route can be viewed here.

Firework displays will be also be taking place in Howth and Dún Laoghaire Harbour on New Year's Eve.

Other events, including the Countdown Concert and the Matinee at Dublin Castle, are now sold out.

On Thursday, there will be free New Year’s Day concerts taking place in Dublin Castle and Meeting House Square. Kíla, Chasing Abbey, Grooveline and Still Blue will be playing at Dublin Castle from 1pm to 5pm.

Meeting House Square will see performances from Mundy, DUG, The Wran and The Awning, also from 1pm to 5pm.
