A woman was brought to the hospital following a violent robbery in Arklow, Co Wicklow on Sunday.

The incident happened on Doyle's Lane at approximately 8:30 pm.

A woman aged in her 30s was conveyed to St. Vincent's University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries sustained as a result of this incident.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
