Gardaí have arrested a man following a seizure of cocaine worth approximately €3.75 million by Revenue officers at Rosslare Europort, Co Wexford on Monday.

Revenue officers seized 55.3kg of suspected cocaine with an estimated value of €3,747,000 following the search of a vehicle which had disembarked from a ferry.

Revenue officers seized 55.3kg of suspected cocaine.

The man, aged in his 40s, who was arrested is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Garda station in Co Wexford.

Investigations are ongoing, gardaí said.
