A woman in her 80s is being treated for serious injuries after a crash in Co Meath.

A stretch of the M1 had been closed for a time after the five-vehicle collision between Junction 7 Julianstown and Junction 8 Duleek, shortly before 12pm on Friday.

It has since reopened.

The woman has been taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda for treatment.
